Used in many personal and hair care products like shampoo, bubble bath, shower gel, face wash, and dish wash and as compare to other surfactants, it has a lower degree of skin irritation, ease of compaction and insensitivity to hard water SLES can be used to make DIY products like shampoo, soap, body wash and other cleansing products. SLES has hard-water resistant properties and high-biodegradation and it is excellent surfactant and most commonly used in various cleansing products.

What is SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE used for? Sodium laureth sulfate is a surfactant that lowers the surface tension between ingredients. It is used as acleaning and foaming agent. It is milder and less irritating than sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). It is used in products like shaving creams, lip balm, sanitizers, exfoliants, hand soaps, toothpastes, body washes, bubble baths, etc. Origin Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) is prepared by ethoxylation of dodecyl alcohol, which is produced industrially from palm kernel oil or coconut oil.
